Chambres d`Hote (Bed and Breakfast) La Vialle, in the heart of a typical Cévenol village full of charm with a picturesque backdrop of rolling hills and forests, has 5 attractive double rooms with a dining room and shady terrace. Relax in peaceful surroundings whilst sampling village life in rural France.

The characterful village has excellent facilities: a small shop, a café, a children`s play area, table tennis, tennis courts, a football pitch a `boule` park and a pretty spot for river swimming, all within walking distance.

Ideal base for walking tours with several circular walks from the village, or guided walks (half days, full days or several days) available with André, a qualified and experienced English-speaking guide with 30 years experience of the Cévennes, it`s flora, fauna, history, geographical and geological features. Walks can be tailored to your needs, desires and level of fitness. We can cater for groups of 9-12 persons. We are open all year so come and see the Spring flowers, pick mushrooms in Autumn and walk with snow shoes in winter.



2 km from Le Vigan, a market town with 2 supermarkets, local shops, restaurants, chemists and doctors surgeries. There is a weekly market each Saturday morning, with a variety of regional produce, and evening markets and cultural activities throughout the summer months.

There are lots of places of interest and things to do nearby. Visit the spectacular and varied Cévennes National Park; the weather observatory on the summit of Mont Aigoual; the Cirque de Navacelles; the French version of the Grand Canyon.



The River Herault provides numerous opportunities for picnicking, swimming and canoeing. There is a variety of dramatic caves and there are interesting museums in the region, as well as many relics and monuments of the past which reflect the rich history of the region including standing stones, churches, chateaux…. Numerous sporting activities are available through local organisations including canoeing, horse riding, canyoning, mountain-biking, and fishing.
